For six weeks I was cycling in Iran and experienced a lot of hospitality.I was invited to spend some nights in Iranian houses and very often I get offered delicious food as well. The Iranian people seem to love having guests.

The surrounding feels very different due to so many other products (e.g. cars) and the farsi letters.

I found many friends and we had a lot of fun ......

    Klima „FairWandeln“?!

In my first days in Bulgaria I realised, that there is much less traffic on the roads. I was very happy to see horse wagons and traditional villages, but otherwise there are again big mono culture fields, German supermarkets and cars and lits of plastic waste on the wayside. The hills are beautiful, but are quite some challenge in this heat. In Bulgarıa I had a wonderful break...

It is indeed a beautiful area when cycling from Passau to Vienna. I had wonderful talks while cycling with or next to so many friendly people. In the evenings I set up my tent near the danube, made a small bunfire, took a bath and became calm in nature. After 3 days I reached Vienna, where I could stay with Simon, who already cycled to India in 2010. It was wonderful, that I could meet the...

At the beginning of the Danube the way leads through endless corn fields and hilly villages. In this heat you really miss the shadow spending trees. I was very happy to meet Helmut on Tuesday in Ulm and had wonderful days with him since. Although 73 years old and blind since the age of 18 it is amazing how many km this man already cycled.  He is a great tandem fan and took initiative to...
